In coating a puncture may be due to manufacturing process
or any other reason. The damage in this coating is called
"HOLIDAY".
A HOLIDAY by nature a corrosion process ending with
damage to the capital property like pipeline- talk etc.
which results in a complete loss to the organization
The instrument, which detects this phenomenon, is called
HOLIDAY DETECTOR
DETECTION
A material having proper coating is non conductive of
electricity. Any puncture / bare portion leads to the
currant flow of electrical power. A high voltage is
applieal through moving electrode (Ring electrode /
rubber brush) on coating material and a currant jump
is observed. If any currant jump is observed, it is
marled as HOLIDAY
